Our Founder's Story

Throughout my life my early fascination, rapid adoption and ultimately my business focus on technology has always been driven by two , interrelated driving forces — My chronic impatience and my desire to get shit done in a hurry. In fact, my nickname growing up was “Swifty”.

My MBA thesis (20 years ago) was entitled, “Time as a source of competitive advantage”. The key takeaway was that as the world continued to accelerate and as technology allowed for faster decision-making, the future would be won by companies who embraced speed and agility. My professor wanted to fail me because my ideas didn’t fit into the prevailing Michael Porter model at the time but I petitioned the senate body and convinced them to accept it.

The vision behind JazLabs is powered by these same forces and my obsession with speed and removing friction from all business interactions and transactions. We’ve been preaching “speed” and “agility” as the new source of competitive advantage in today’s digitally-enabled world since our inception in 2009 and strive to deliver that with all our customers.
